We visited the Seychelles during a pandemic -
What is travel like during the Corona crisis? What are tourism destinations doing to ensure that long-distance travel is still possible? and what do the locals think about tourists in times of Covid-19? We flew to the island paradise of Seychelles and took a look at the protection concepts on site.
Before Covid-19, if you planned a trip to a faraway place, you would get reactions like: "Oh how nice, I'd like to go there now too." Before this trip, the reactions were more diverse, often an incredulous: "What, you're flying to the Seychelles this time of year?" Not infrequently followed by exciting discussions about whether one should travel at all during this time and whether it was socially acceptable.
