Home of the Sami, the trolls and Santa Claus: Nico's series "Lapland" shows the legendary region of Northern Europe with all facets of its magnificence. Snow-covered trees, immersed in the local, slightly mystical light: the viewer almost has the feeling of standing knee-deep in the snow.
The photographer is merely a transmitter and allows us to participate in an unobstructed view of the vastness and tranquillity of the last wilderness of Europe. Then he disappears into nature and becomes a part of it.
