THE GAME OF GAUCHOS

PEOPLE, REPORTAGE

Tough men. With faces tanned by the weather. They wear boots made of foal leather.  With iron spurs. Unmistakable is the boina, a beret. The Gauchos are the symbol of freedom in Argentina. Nomads who live in the wild and look after the cattle herds. They live a simple existence in the tranquility of Nature. Between the never-ending pampas, mountains and glaciers. One of the few distractions:the traditional Gaucho Rodeo. We were on the spot and observed the archaic Gaucho game.
